Partners in wealth can be defined several ways. First and foremost, it personifies the relationships we have with our clients; based on education and empowerment. Second, it refers to the team of advisors and support staff that we have built who work together to deliver an exceptional customer service experience. Finally, it captures the relationships we have formed with our strategic business partners who we have chosen to provide product solutions or specialized advice to help our clients reach their financial goals.

Turning 65 has traditionally been associated with one major milestone: Retirement. But today, plenty of Canadians continue working well beyond 65, while others retire years earlier. So age 65 isn’t necessarily the finish line anymore. Financially, however, it remains an important milestone. Government benefits become available, tax credits change, retirement income decisions become more important, and the way you draw money from your savings deserves another look. Here are some of the biggest financial considerations...
For many Canadians in their 40s, 50s and 60s, financial planning has become a balancing act. You’re trying to prepare for retirement. Gord Downie had terminal brain cancer. He knew what was coming. We knew too. And somehow, they gave us one final, unforgettable night. They never seemed overly concerned with conquering America. Instead, they sang about us—our places, our history, our heroes, our injustices and our contradictions. David Milgaard. Bill Barilko. Hugh MacLennan. Small towns, frozen lakes and the hundredth meridian. But ten years later, I keep coming back to one song from that final night: “Courage.” There stood Gord, before an adoring crowd and millions watching at home, knowing his remaining time would be measured in months. And he sang a song called Courage. Sometimes courage is knowing exactly what comes next—and walking onto the stage anyway. Ten years later, Gord, we're still listening.
